Berfin is a human being who freshly immigrated to Tampere for her master's studies after having lived in Turkey for 23 years. Following her first winter in Finland and experiencing the beauty of Finnish nature, she saw that she can definitely survive here, then she has decided to embrace Tampere as a permanent habitat. After completing her master's she'd to pursue a PhD in Finland - no surprise that it could be relevant to refugee law or migration - and possibly work at an NGO or a research institute at the same time.
As an immigrant herself, she understands the challenges that the immigrants face - getting accustomed to a new community, as well as seeking for jobs/internships. That is why she wants to create an impact in the society with those who share the same concerns!
Her passion in doing research on migration issues and social entrepreneurship led her in creating Food for Good. In addition to these, she loves traveling and drawing caricatures.
